    mexico happened

i was lucky enough to go with my best friend + her husband to their mexico wedding earlier this year in may! and you betcha i took my sweet michael along with me.

it was honestly the best 7 day vacation i have had up to this point in my life. it was relaxing and fun, we stayed in an all inclusive hotel, where the food was crummy but the booze was free. i decided before we even left i was going to get completely and utterly sloshed one night, just to see how it would feel. and it was hilarious, from the stories i gathered, i remember bits and pieces and can't help but laugh. it was a good experience, and i will probably never do it again. luckily, puking didn't happen. neither did a brutal hangover, since i woke up still slightly drunk. i was pretty turned off to alcohol the remainder of the trip, but i wouldn't change that experience for anything.

we hung out at the resort a couple times, walked to a little town a couple miles down the beach and had the best pizza ever. no exaggeration. a few of the other days, we along with our now close friends chris + meg, went to sayulita and surfed. they had adorable little on the beach bar + grill restaurants with beach front tables + umbrellas. we'd sit there all day, order drinks + food and surf.

our dear friend chris managed to also snap some totes adorbs photos of mikeyy + i in the ocean after my ki's beach ceremony.

the taxi drivers were absolutely in.sane. one suv had the check engine light on and was up in the 6-8 rpm's. the other suv's speedometer didn't work and the engine oil light was on. it was totally sketch. but the experience of a lifetime. i have never feared for my life so seriously before getting in the taxi's there.

it was a wicked good trip. and we will be going back, frequently.
